Rock Dove – the ancestor of the humble London pigeon is a potent symbol of the city that has been my home since birth. I serve London in public life; why not quietly honour its magnificence by walking its green spaces? My intention in walking the capital ring is therefore to honour and give thanks for this wonderful, diverse and vital city that is London – if you like, a walking embrace!
